Our weekly ocean tours fill up quickly, so advance booking is required! Please contact us by 4pm on the day prior to your desired tour to ensure that you will have a spot.

3 Hour Ocean Kayak Tour
Leaving at 9am and 1pm, our three-hour tours are a great way to explore the beautiful scenery of the Sooke Basin of Vancouver Island. Just 30 mins for downtown Victoria, BC, nestled right on the rugged west coast in Cooper’s Cove, our certified guides will show you all the highlights of the area and give you some insight into the wildlife and history. Find out about the mysterious grey battleship in Coopers Cove, see where John Wayne used to party and say hello to all the animals that call the basin their home. We often see seals, sea stars and jellyfish, and on occasion even see herons, bald eagles and sea cucumbers (our personal favourites! They’re really weird).
Full Day Ocean Kayak Tour
Departing at 9 am, our full-day tour will take you to Whiffin Spit, where the Sooke Basin empties into the open ocean. On top of the sights you would see on the 3-hour tour, you will paddle out past the Sooke Harbour, explore the unique ecosystem of the tidal flats and have a picnic on Whiffin Spit, catered by our neighbours, the Stickleback Eatery.
Full Moon Ocean Kayak Tour
Paddle out and watch the moon rise from the ocean’s horizon, then return by moonlight! This unique experience is not only, beautiful and romantic, but so peaceful and meditative. We often have increadible encounters with some of the local wildlife, as some animals prefer dusk, and if you are lucky you might even see some bioluminescence. This special 2-hour tour only runs on the day of the full moon or the day before or after, start times will vary depending on the time of year.
Sunset Ocean Kayak Tour
Experience kayaking the Sooke Basin at dusk on this 2-hour ocean tour, returning to the dock just as the sun sets behind the mountains. We can’t think of a better way to end the day than enjoying the last golden rays of the sun floating out on the water. These tours depart at different times in the year depending on when the sun sets.
